The book of Kells
The characters are made with all different size, forms, shapes and colours.
The diversity of designs makes it very rich.
The work on the colours is also very diversified. Powerful warm colours and very accentuated. They expressed the feeling of the story ; black and red, dark shadows with an atmosphere of fear.
On the other hand the proportions are not very realistics (which also make it interesting). Curves are chaotics and lines are like drawns in Random. However that what makes it complex. There is no logic in it but beauty.
The dawns are also mixed between 2 dimensions and 3 dimensions, like in the scene of the snake labyrinth.
Innovation in terms of point of vue is remarquable : like if the camera would try a lot of different angles.

Same love, Macklemore
That song has been sing by the singer Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in July 18th, 2012. In the United States of America, the fightfor more sexual orientation equality has been made, through march, manifestation, litterature, cinema, or music. Talking about how love between homosexual is the 'same love' than in every heterosexual couple, Macklemeore engaged the debate of the gay mariage and social segregation that america have on gay people. Comming from a straight person the impact is bigger, showing that this an issue that everyone should feel concerned about.

Everything is a remix
Basically what is a remix ? It's copying, transforming and combining. And it works for anything : music, painting, literature, inventions,... The point that Ted is bringing to the topic is that all works are based on inspirations. As an artist, you will always have models to base your idea on ; therefore, your idea are made up on the others work. Bob dylan for example stolled others songs. Indeed, we have the "creativity" to re-use others work to make our version of it.

What if money were no object ?
Musique
Into the wild. My guide. All the thoughts, morals, expereince that Alexander Supertramps lives always leave me thoughtful, confused and admirative. A whole reflection on what money brings us, what in it makes us happy in our lifes. Pursuiving a way of leaving, a society well built.
An education, a job, a wife, kids and retirement. Is this the life we are predistinate to live ? Is there absolutely any other way to be happy than following these rules.
I guess we all dream of get ride of everything and run away in pure nature. Maybe one day I will. Who knows ?
Society
When you want more than you have
you think you need
and when you think more than you want
your thoughts begin to bleed
I think I need to find a bigger place
'cos when you have more than you think
you need more space
society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me
there's those thinking more or less less is more
but if less is more how you're keeping score?
Means for every point you make
your level drops
kinda like its starting from the top
you can't do that...
society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, have mercy on me
I hope you're not angry if I disagree
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me
Tall painting
The purpose of tall painting is mainly to add colours on top of eachother colours without mixing them. These artists directed by Dave Kauftam found a way to match the colours, whatever they are : warm or cold, light or dark. Using oil paint, the "heavy" matter makes it additionned and not mixing. The fact that they put the painting on top of boxes added on top of eachother in a way to form levels highers and higher. The colors overlap eachother without making it to thick or too heavy. Also the work of finding colours that match eachother is remarquable (maybe the warm light influenced the caputure too)

Ellen Page supporting the LGBTQ community
This february 15, 2014, the famous and talented canadian actress Ellen Page had made a marvellous speech about place of gays, lesbians, transexuals and queer people in our society. She denounced the inequality that persist between couple of same sex and of different sexe. The fight for sex equality in the state and for the gay marriage has been very inluenced in all part of the world (as the States has always been influent). The concession of a gay marriage in some states has marked a important step in the evolution of the LGBTQ community ; indeed, some countries of europe (France, Spain) and of course in Canada. Therefore, the canadian actress, as an international celebrity brought the thought that we shouldn't hate what is different, but accepting the fact that each one of usis equal, whatever his sexual orientation is, that stereotypes as masculanity and feminity can't define who you are.

Deviant art
This artist is very multitasks, she works on every medias (painting, sculptin, drawing, photography, anims, scrapbook, sewding,..) and different styles (abstract, traditional, contemporary, classical,...).
The art who attracted me was an "artisanal work". I found works on miniatures, needlework, culinary, costumary but I was specifically attracted by "metal work". Indeed she tries to play with fine metal and join together these small sticks of metal in a way to form like lace.
As she describes : "The two black bowls were woven from 26g. wire (the largest is aprox. 8"inches in diameter) The center bowl was constructed from 24g. copper wire and some black fishing line."
The messy limits of the the bowls makes it very abstract, as the hole in the first big bowl. Also, the idea to put a smaller bowal inside the first one looks very nice and makes it more complex and interesting.
